Young Vic – 2026

In this darkly comic travelogue, a blocked novelist and his aging mother, who is barely keeping it together with vodka, pills and Ferragamo sweaters, embark on a chaotic and outrageous road trip through the snowy mountains of Switzerland. Ready to give away the mother’s fortune stuffed in a plastic bag, they try to come to terms with their family’s and Europe’s dark history.

The artwork shows the odd duo, played by Kathryn Hunter and Ben Wishaw, stuck on a ski lift, with their feet dangling above the Swiss Alps.
