The Power of Bad

I created the cover for Daniel Susskind’s book about AI.

Drawing on almost a decade of research, Susskind argues that machines no longer need to think or reason like us in order to outperform us, as was once widely believed. As a result, more and more tasks that used to be far beyond the capability of computers are now within their reach and the threat of technological unemployment looms.

I wanted the cover to look like it had been destroyed by a mechanical process. After some research, I landed on the paper shredder, printed the title on a sheet of paper and created the cuts using a scalpel and a ruler.
