Icon Books – 2020

Come Fly the World vividly captures the experience of three stewardesses who served on the iconic Pan Am Airlines between 1966 and 1975 – and the complex, unseen role these young women played on the world stage as informal diplomats, especially during the Vietnam War.

The brief for the cover was to take inspiration from 1960s ads and to strike a balance between the glamour of the era and the sense of adventure and freedom those women found in their work. I played with scale to turn a woman’s arm into a runway, guiding a Pan Am aircraft towards the sky.

The book will be published in Spring 2021 by Icon Books.
